Where Vibisual writes, what it reads, and how to override both.

Managed hook block

The block is delimited by markers and rewritten on version upgrades. Anything outside the markers is preserved verbatim.

Environment variables

Data location

per project<project>/.vibisual/save/checkpoint.json — the graph, its agents and session state
machine-wide~/.vibisual/app-state.json — open projects and preferences
logsthe app data folder: %APPDATA%/Vibisual on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/Vibisual on macOS, ~/.config/Vibisual on Linux

Session records contain prompts, tool calls, file paths and shell commands. Nothing leaves the machine: the server runs inside the app itself and is bound to loopback. Still, treat these directories as sensitive.
